The sermon livestream will begin at 10:20
1. Call to Worship
Take a few deep breaths in and out to settle your body, mind, and soul before God.
After that, read this passage out loud and let it move your heart into worship.
I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.
2. Song 1 - Blessed Assurance
Giving is a part of our worship of God.
In giving financially to the church, we acknowledge that our money is not our own to begin with, it is God's, and we participate in our collective mission by supporting God's work here at Alliance Bible Church.
If you are new or visiting, don't feel the need to give - this offering is for those who call Alliance Bible Church "home."
4. Song 2 - There's Nothing That Our God Can't Do
5. Scripture Reading
Read the following scripture passage out loud in your home:
1 Corinthians 15:51-56 (ESV)
Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
