Communicating the Gospel to Modern Man

“We desire to repeatedly communicate the gospel to every man, woman and child in our area of accountability in a way that is meaningful to them and that gives them repeated opportunities to respond.”

The people around us are increasingly hostile to organized religion.  They are abandoning Christianity as irrelevant, childish, hypocritical and hateful yet say they respect and love Jesus.  To Christians it seems obvious that they don’t know what they’re talking about.  To them we seem arrogant.

In many ways it seems that the Church has lost touch with the culture.  In many other ways it seems the Church may be losing touch with itself.   The Church is the vehicle by which the Gospel goes forth and should be changing the culture but it seems that the culture is changing the Church.

The Gospel is un-changing but, language, thinking, values, art, literature, these things all change.  How do we communicate the Gospel in a day when it seems the world and the Church don’t speak the same language?

The goal of our upcoming Sunday morning discussion is to reveal how thinking has changed, how those changes have created the world we live in today and give Christians insight into communicating the Gospel effectively in the twenty-first century.

Join us on Sunday mornings at 8:45 am.
