Pastor Tim Poferl
Senior Pastor

Tim and Judy Poferl, and their three children, moved to Bartlett and began their ministry at Alliance Bible Church in October of 1999.  Tim has served in full-time ministry with the Christian and Missionary Alliance for over 25-years.  Before coming to Bartlett, they served in churches in Pennsylvania and Iowa.

They both attended Crown College in Minnesota, and were married following graduation.  They then attended Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY.

They enjoy spending time with family and friends, entertaining, walking their dogs, sports, reading a good book, or watching a movie.

  • Tim and Judy consider Robert L. Niklaus (Judy’s father), among their “Heroes of the faith.”

Tim’s life ministry verse comes from Colossians 1:28-29, “He is the One we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. 29 To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.”

Pastor Don Romano

Associate Pastor

Hi,

My name is Don Romano.  I serve at Alliance Bible Church as Associate Pastor.  My wife, Debbie also serves alongside me.  We were married in 1982 and have served together even before that.  We have always had a deep love for people and have served as Sunday school teachers, youth group sponsors, in the nursery, and you name it.  I am a second career pastor, which means that I started my family and my career before I sensed God calling me to serve as a pastor.  During that time I studied at Moody Bible Institute.  I am also self-supporting and work full time outside the church.  Debbie and I have 4 adult children.  We are blessed to be able to say that they are all still engaged in their local churches.

Debbie is a homemaker but, she is much more than that.  Together we currently lead 2 small groups in our home and serve on the worship team.  Debbie also cares for 2 young children, is involved in an after school club in the local primary school, leads 2 other small groups during the week and is a trained grief counselor.  We both believe that God changes lives when we: 1. place our faith in His Son, Jesus Christ; 2. read and study His Word, the Bible; 3. worship together in a local group of believers and 4. serve others.  We are committed to guiding the local church and helping others grow into the people God intended them to be.
