Our Denominational Context

Alliance Bible Church of Bartlett is part of The Christian and Missionary Alliance (known as C&MA for short). The C&MA received its name from the merger of the Christian Alliance and the Evangelical Missionary Alliance, both founded by Albert Benjamin Simpson in 1887.

The C&MA is composed of 21 geographical districts and 18 intercultural districts, and has 2000 churches in the United States. There are 1,108 missionaries, serving in 49 countries throughout the world. There are 15,514 National C&MA Churches in 66 countries. Our district, the Midwest district, consists of two states: Illinois and Indiana, with offices in Bloomingdale, Illinois.

The C&MA has four colleges in the United States: The Christian and Missionary Alliance
The C&MA also has one seminary: Alliance Theological Seminary in New York.
